President & CEO - St. Augustine, Ponte Vedra & The Beaches
Richard Goldman is the President & CEO of St. Augustine, Ponte Vedra & The Beaches, a DI accredited organization, where he is responsible for maintaining and enhancing the area's success as a tourism and meetings destination. Under his leadership, the Bureau advanced advertising and marketing programs, including a rebranding, that have facilitated measurable tourism growth across all lodging metrics, and Bed Tax collections.
Prior to joining the Bureau in 2009, Goldman served as SVP and CMO for Amelia Island Plantation where he managed a 13 member in-house advertising and marketing operation. A past chairman of VISIT FLORIDA's Board of Directors and with company executives, Goldman facilitated the reorganization of VF into a streamlined marketing agency. He continues to serve on VISIT FLORIDA'S Council of Tourism Leaders and on the Board of Directors for the Florida State Parks Foundation and Jacksonville SKAL Club. He serves on the Board of and is a past chair of Florida's First Coast of Golf, a regional destination marketing organization.
A graduate of the UF, Goldman started his career at Ogilvy & Mather advertising agency in New York and spent 17 years working for Ryder & Schild Advertising in Miami, including 10 years as the firm's VP Marketing & Research. With a passion for metrics, Goldman brings a focus on accountability to marketing tourism.
