Jay Boling

Jay Boling brings over 9 years of experience in sports tourism, destination marketing, and intercollegiate athletics to the Tempest/iDSS team. His career in tourism began with the Athens (GA) CVB and spanned over 6 years. In his role as Sports Sales Manager, Boling served as the Bureau's lead manager for recruiting sporting events to the city and shaping its sports tourism strategies. In January 2023 he began his tenure with Huddle Up Group, and was responsible for Rights Holder engagement and leading activations/trainings for the Sports Tourism Index + Scout platform.

Through his years of service to the tourism industry, Boling represented Athens and its hospitality stakeholders by serving as a member in a number of trade organizations, including Georgia Sports, GACVB, GSAE, and Sports ETA.

Boling holds a bachelor’s degree in Business Management from Georgia College & State University and a master’s degree in Sport Management & Policy from the University of Georgia.
